Study Fees

Training at the International Music College Freiburg is subject to to tuition, because this institution is not subsidized by governmental or private sources. The study fees are to be paid during the entire study year (including school holidays). Holiday time correspond to the vacation schedule of Freiburg’s grammar and secondary schools. This applies to all study class years for both the Basic and the Main programs.

The student receives a guarantee until the end of the planned training that fixes the tuition level at entry levels.

The monthly study fees amount to:

Basic Program 1st year: 445 €
Basic Program 2nd year: 425 €

Main Program 1st year – new student: 495 €
Main Program 1st year – new student with main instrument piano: 480 €
Main Program 1st year – new student with main instrument voice: 555 €

Main Program 1st year – following completion of the Basic Program: 475 €
Main Program 1st year – following completion of the Basic Program with main instrument piano: 460 €
Main Program 1st year – following completion of the Basic Program with main instrument voice: 535 €

Main Program 2nd year: 475 €
Main Program 2nd year – Student with main instrument voice: 535 €

Main Program 3rd year with study emphasis Performance: 545 €
Main Program 3rd year with study emphasis Pedagogy: 545 €
Main Program 3rd year with study emphasis Song Writing/Producing: 600 €

The study fees cover the costs for all the courses listed in the Study Plan.

Moreover, costs for all regular exams are included in the study fees. An exception to this is the applicant’s first audition, for which an extra fee of 115 € is charged. However, this payment will be subtracted from the study fees upon application for and signing of the training contract.

In order to cover costs for required class literature, an all-inclusive fee of 195 € per study year will be charged.
