Application forms

The test for exceptional artistic talent follows the these guidelines:

  • The applicant must depict his/her artistic motives and personal goals in a written essay. A demo CD and at least two letters of recommendation from former music teachers, orchestra leaders, or the like, must also be submitted. The essay, demo CD, and the recommendations must be submitted along with the application for the entry exam.
  • After a meeting with school advisors, the applicant then takes part in an ensuing entrance exam. A passing point total in the entrance exam is, by itself, not sufficient to insure acceptance into the Program. The exam committee alone determines whether or not the applicant is accepted on the grounds of exceptional artistic ability. The acceptance will be set down in writing. If the applicant is not accepted, this will be conveyed orally.

The possession of an “adequate general education” mentioned above can be confirmed, if:

  • a grade transcript is submitted from a successfully completed secondary or vocational school,
  • or an equivalent grade transcript is submitted. Applications will be turned down below a certain grade point average.
