Hiram has played drums since 1968 and can look back on a 25 year career as a professional drummer and teacher. Although born in Freiburg, he had performed with internationally-known musicians such as Joe Pass, Charlie Mariano, Art Farmer, Herbie Mann, Horace Parlan, Ricky Ford, Paul Horn, Stafford James, Louis Sclavis, Denny Zeitlin, and Doug Raney.
He has toured all of Europe (also through the former Soviet Union), and the Near East. From 1983 to 1986, he lived and worked in Copenhagen. Hiram received a music teacher’s diploma in Trossingen in 1979. He received the “Förderpreis der Hypobank Stuttgart” at the 1989 Zelt Music Festival. To date he has played on seven LPs and CDs.
